What changed for this cycle
- Sectional locking is strict. Once you move past a question or a section, there's no going back - not to change an answer, not to revisit, not to skip ahead and return. Budget time per section accordingly, because running out mid-section forfeits whatever's left unanswered in it.
- Verbal Ability leans practical, not grammar-drill. Recent cycles weight sentence completion, passage recall, and comprehension-under-time-pressure over pure vocabulary/grammar correction - closer to "can you communicate clearly at work" than "can you diagram a sentence."
- Proctoring is real-time and strict either way. Home-based slots use continuous AI video/audio monitoring; switching tabs or windows ends the exam immediately, no warning. Center-based slots are now the more common default for most drives.
- The paper is fixed-difficulty, not adaptive. Same baseline difficulty for everyone in a given slot - no algorithm making it harder or easier based on how you're doing.

Foundation is 65 questions / 75 minutes and is itself an elimination round — clearing it is what makes you eligible for the Advanced section and the higher-paying tracks.

Exam-day rules that actually trip people up
- Once you lock in an answer, it's locked - no revisiting.
- No skipping a section to come back to it later.
- One tab/window switch ends the test immediately, no second chance.
- Remote slots: your video and audio are monitored the entire time.
- Center slots: rough sheets are provided and collected before you leave - don't plan around bringing your own.
